Biographer of lyndon johnson
The Years of Lyndon Johnson is a multi-book biography of Lyndon B. Johnson by the American writer Robert Caro. Four volumes have been published, running to more than 3, pages in total, detailing Johnson's early life, education, and political career.
Far less a traditional biography than Goodwin’s, this is a memoir of Califano’s 3½ years in the Johnson Administration. Rather than diluting his effort with Johnson’s pre-presidency, Califano focuses almost entirely on events which he witnessed from inside the White House.
