Carl deuker biography

Deuker was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area. His father died when he was three years old, and to this day he is deeply conscious of the loss and deeply interested in father-son relationships. Deuker's mother encouraged her son to have an active imagination, and he began writing poetry and short stories while still in high school. Biography Carl Deuker was raised in Redwood City, California, the son of Jack Deuker and Marie Milligan Deuker. As a young boy, he spent many hours in the creek behind his house and in the wooded area west of his house. Mainly he kicked around with his friend Paul Garibaldi, looking for frogs and lizards and the occasional snake.
