Anita brookner biography

Anita Brookner CBE (16 July – 10 March ) [1] was an English novelist and art historian. She was Slade Professor of Fine Art at the University of Cambridge from to and was the first woman to hold this visiting professorship. Anita Brookner, English art historian and author who presented a bleak view of life in her fiction, much of which deals with the loneliness experienced by middle-aged women who meet romantically unsuitable men and feel a growing sense of alienation from society.
